Smart upgrades
Smart upgrade of traditional sockets is supported. A smart socket can be connected to any household appliance, and turn it into a smart device in seconds, allowing you to remotely turn it on or off, set timers, and achieve automatic scenario connection. When a smart socket is connected to a water heater, you can preset the time for the heater to turn on or off so that you can take a show immediately after you get home. Living a simple life has never been easier.
On vacation
Everyone deserves a worry-free vacation. You can connect your lights to a smart socket, which will turn them on and off randomly to simulate someone being at home and keep burglars away. You can also connect other appliances with the smart socket to repeatedly turn on/off for a certain period of time, so the lovely fish in your tank and the outdoor plants and flowers will be taken care of. When you come back from vacation, everything will be just as it was before you left.
Outdoor
Whether it's a cold winter or a hot summer day, it can be a pain to go outdoors and turn on or off your patio appliances. An outdoor smart socket can solve this issue—simply lie on the couch and tell your speaker assistant to switch the device on or off. You can also use the smart socket to take better care of your patio by presetting timers according to your usual habits and even control the device based on local sunrise and sunset time.

Multiple protocols and modules
The smart switch supports multiple major communication protocols, BLE + Wi-Fi, Zigbee, and Bluetooth mesh. BLE + Wi-Fi modules support high-speed Bluetooth pairing and Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone control. Zigbee modules support Zigbee 3.0 and enable connectivity without internet access or gateway connections. Bluetooth mesh modules are more cost-effective than the other two types of modules. The same series of modules based on different protocols are pin-to-pin compatible, so you can use them to develop products that support various protocols.

Function description
Remote control
You can remotely control a kettle, fan, or other device connected to a socket via the app. You can view and control the socket status online anytime, anywhere.
Voice control
You can control all your switches hands-free with a smart speaker, such as Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, Baidu DuerOS, and Xiaomi XiaoAI. For instance, if you are preparing dinner in the kitchen, just say "Alexa, turn the kitchen light on" and the smart speaker will carry out your voice command.
Timer
You can set timers to turn traditional home appliances on or off with the ease of mind.
Countdown timer
You can set countdowns to turn devices on or off. For example, you can set countdowns to charge an electric vehicle, which can prevent the battery from overcharging and ensure electrical safety.
Cycle timer
You can set specific times for switching lights on and off respectively within a designated time period, and the cycle will be repeated accordingly. This feature is mainly used to manage repetitive tasks.
Random timer
You can specify a period of time during which devices will be randomly turned on or off.  When you are away from home at night or on vacation, set a random timer for the night to activate the random on/off switches for the light connected to the socket to simulate someone being at home to prevent theft.
Sunrise and sunset timers
You can set the time for the switch to turn on the lights around sunset and turn them off around sunrise. You can also specify the device locations and enable up to four weeks of offline control. For example, you can set the time for switching on the living room lights 30 minutes before sunset to ensure enough lighting.
Child lock
When the child lock is activated via the app, the physical button of the device will be disabled. This can prevent children from pressing the button randomly and thereby causing accidents.
Smart linkage
You can connect this smart switch with other "Powered by Tuya" smart devices across brands and categories. You can define a scenario in the app to enjoy hands-free convenience, for example, to turn a smart switch on automatically when your smart door is unlocked.
